Sal Island, Cape Verde, public holidays, festivals and carnival

Sal is one of the smallest of the Cape Verde Islands only 30 Km long and up to 12 Km wide. It is quite dry, which takes some visitors by surprise, but the big plus side, is that there very little rain! It has a unique climate, in that the temperature is between minimum average of 21.6 and maximum average of 26.7

On these days it is most likely that the banks will be closed.
