MURDEIRA BEACH RESORT, Facilities for children
This gated resort which is quiet should suit families with children, as
there are many facilities at hand. There is very little traffic
within the complex and no street-peddlers that you will find in the
towns.
For those that like the simple life by the ocean
All of the rental villas have generous outside spaces, with gates.
Some have roof terraces and balconies as well. The car port areas
are shaded from the sun, allowing additional outdoor space. There
is a sandy beach just behind the swimming pool with its childrens
pools, and there are a variety of beaches and coves both within and to either
side of the resort. Just near the restaurant area, there are rock
pools. It's possible to fish from the beach, just bring a rod or follow the instructions we will include with the villa instructions.
In some of the villas you will find equipment such as folding lobster pots, fishing rods, boules set, or skittles. They are all equipped with cable TV, radio and DVD players and CD players.
If you are looking for theme parks, McDonalds, then the Cape Verde Islands are not for you. Due to the design of the villas, they are not recommended for crawling infants and very young children.
Guest comments
We liked Murdeira a lot. for me there was no alternative. I'd rather
have the swimming pool, the tennis, the whole complex is fantastic.
The children aren't going to get sunburnt as the villas have shade.

I just love feeling so close to the ocean. To be at the water's
edge and have a beach to myself is something that is hardly possible
in Europe. To hear the sound of the waves at night is my idea of
a dream come true. Murdeira offers everything I want, and yet it's
so close to Espargos and Santa Maria C from London.
Things to do nearby
Windsurfing, kite surfing, sailing, game fishing, surfing,
diving all on site or within 10 minutes.
Walk for miles in either direction at the water's edge - it's totally
undeveloped. Take the children to visit the Old Salt mines at Pedro
de Luma, where they can float like in the Dead Sea. Take a 4x4 out
for a day and discover even more remote beaches. Flag down an aluguier
(minibus) and go to Espargos or Santa Maria - get a taste of the
local charm and music. Day trips to other islands by plane or by
boat. Shops, fish market, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, huge white
sandy beaches at Santa Maria. Restaurants, shops, business advisers
and notary in Espargos 10 minutes. Lawyer on site. Daily minibuses
to Santa Maria from Murdeira beach resort. Buses to Espargos and
Santa Maria pass by regularly. (1 euro). Taxis available from reception
(4 euros). For
