Santiago is hilly and houses the capital of the Cape Verdes,
Praia. Nearly half the population of the Cape Verde Islands lives
in Santiago. Maio is much less developed, and a short flight from
Santiago. It is necessary to fly via Santiago to reach Maio.

You will fly into Sal, and on to Santiago.
